Chima Igboenyesi

Chima is a consummate professional with versatile financial management and consulting experience. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from The Federal Polytechnic, Owerri; a Post Graduate Diploma and an MBA in Marketing from University of Nigeria Nsukka.

He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant while in the employment of the professional practice of Akintola Williams Deloitte. He is currently a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Chima holds several advanced international financial designations including the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the Certied Information Systems Auditor (CISA) obtained from the Information Systems and Control Association (ISACA).  He is also certified by the British Standards Institute (BSI) as an ISO 27001 Implementer and Auditor.

Chima joined Threshold Konsults with over 29 years hands-on corporate management experience in Professional Accountancy Practice, Financial Consulting and Commercial Banking. He rose to the position of a Divisional Head while in the employment of Fidelity Bank Plc where he held major responsibilities for setting up and running the Bank’s Internal Control, Market Risk, Operational Risk and Enterprise Risk Management Departments. He also led many successful project implementations for the institution including the Bank’s Conversion to the International Financial Reporting Standards, Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Environmental and Social Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems (ISO 27001), the IBM Openpages Operational Risk Management
System, Conversion to Basel II/III Risk Management Systems, Automation of Loan Book within the Finacle Core Banking Systems and Integration for the Fidelity/FSB/Manny Bank Merger.

Chima is widely travelled and have attended several local and international training courses including those organized by Euromoney, British Standards Institute, International Finance Corporation and the Equator Principles Association.
